Hello from your resident busy bee! I have so many things lined up both for the blog and personal work.I guess the best way is to clear your mind and take things one step at a time. Yea?
Wore this to a stress free day. I love it when I get to escape pants and wear my minis. I've been stuck at work lately so being able to wear more urban looks is a real dream for me!
Got my racer midriff top from Love Elevenshop. Been wearing this several times already but this was the only time I got to blog about this on trend piece.
My awesome OOTD PH skirt certainly elevated my simple look. With the black piping detail it automatically transformed this basic bandage skirt.
Decided to add this plaid polo and wrapped it around my waist. Wouldn't you agree that it's such an eighties thing to do? We've associated this plaid print with our dads or our grandfathers, sure it's been in the fashion industry for so long already but now it's making a come back.
Okay, before we go any further. You must be wondering what's the difference between plaid and checkered? Here you go, a visual comparison. Plaid on the left and checkered on the right. The checkered print is usually patterned with two alternating squares. While plaid has a mixture of stripes and bars overlapping each other. Now that that's covered let's proceed with interiors shall we?
With present day interiors, we're all about having fun. Besides the usual classic way to style our homes, now, unconventional ideas are open too! Such as mixing a plaid upholstered chairs with super modern tables.
If the idea of going bold scares you a bit you can add small dosages of these ye old prints. A little goes a long way, and with it's striking visual it certainly makes a statement into your space.
Hope that was helpful. Will you guys give in to plaid prints? :)

DeleteI don't intend to sound obnoxious, but I believe "plaid" is pronounced "plad" rhymes with "dad", as opposed to "paid" with an L. It's a gaelic word.
