Studied out the whole day yesterday facing magazines..

No we did not study magazines! haha

This was what I was actually facing the whole time!

Been studying two subjects all at once just to save time.. Stress!

While doing some serious note taking.. I came across this pattern under our Rug Pattern hand outs and realized that it's the same pattern as my shirt!

Since it was gloomy yestereday I decided to wear this colorful piece I got over at Zara Kids! I adore the ethnic American-Indian print that this shirt clearly portrays. The reasons why I started this blog is mainly to portray the similarities of Fashion,the Arts and Interior Design. I love how in Fashion a carpet pattern clearly becomes a statement piece and shows off a unique print on strong colors and geometric lines. It's not just some random lines that you just happen to throw in to create this effect it actually takes inspiration from carpet patterns long ago. A harmony of these elements showcase a balance of symmetry and design by not overpowering one another.

Okay! Maybe not all the pieces are geometric. And maybe they're not really under American Indian patterns but it i similar. Just wanted to work that in in today's post! :)

So here are some photos I got all over the net on the same patterns used in carpets, pillows and interior spaces

Vibrant colors on pillows! I am in love with the electric pops of color! Although some patterns in these pictures have a mixture of moroccan prints too!

Clearly these are a fun and fashionable patterns ready to spruce up interior spaces and fashion pieces at the same time! :)

Now back to studying!

Yes.. I braved the streets with this pair from DAS just to meet up with my bestfriend Kryz over at Shang Mall yesterday! Don't worry I was safe and sound . No one seemed to care na super effort lang ang attire just to get a cab. haha  Special thanks to my roomie, Kristine, for being so game on taking my photos. Even if we did look stupid posing around the village .

Meeting up with Kryz totally helped me relax and  just recharge. No pictures though.. whenever we're together I usually forget I have a camera around . I feel like I get too caught up with all the girl time and always end up forgetting on documenting things. Also it was so nice to get messages from my other two best girlfriends who were coincidentally having some bonding time in Cebu too! Just what I needed, I feel the support! I felt the support so much that when I got home that night I slept at 4 am because I was so inspired to study and did the same thing the whole day today!

Some new and old friends.

Had dinner and a couple of drinks with my classmates and some teachers from review class during my last week of review. I seriously wonder why we didn't do this during the first week of class.. but then again this would've been a routine and a distraction so I'm glad we just did this now. Since it's our last week we got to destress with a night booze and great food. Finally a meal that didn't involve any form of chicken! It's funny how people who barely said hi before instantly become friends after drinks. hahaha

With my roomie, Kristine.

I seriously don't know what to do with this girl.. so wild. haha Kidding! But I love her to death. Our Manila stay is about to come to an end and I'll surely miss her contagious laugh and free spirited vibe. Now off to watch Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Wore this today to a quick Lunch I had with my parents and relatives! Thought it would be timely to wear this awesome laced top that my aunt and cousins picked out for me the last time I went shopping with them. I love that most of the people in my Dad's side are girls. Everyone understands the need to dressup and why an accessory should be added to any outfit. Why having one bag in your closet is never okay and why heels or a trip to the salon are instant ways to make you feel better. It's so much easier to forget all the stress and just relax my brain for once. There's one more week of class anyway so I'll just have to squeeze what's left of my brain and energy then it's hello Cebu on the 28th! :) Yey!

So I got this pair from Greenhills. Fairly cheap if you ask me, P250.00! Plus it has this ribbon detail that I love, I've always been a sucker for ribbons  So being the compulsive buyer that I am I got one pair in a striking violet color. If you guys noticed I've been going "simpler" on my outfit choices since I just walk to school cause it's just a corner away. So these flats were perfect! Durability though... wasn't that good. Wore these  twice since I bought them and the sole died on me today.. had to mighty bond it just now for a temporary solution. haha I really like the design and I believe it's worth saving! 

Wore this to class today and straight to meet my parents for dinner after. Seems to me that they've been here every other week but no complaints! A week to go till my last day for the I.D. review. I can't wait to go home already and relax for a while. All these studying is seriously making me fat. haha

A whole day of interior plans tomorrow then a party after.. wonder how this will work out?

Shuttle Bus

Started my day today super early since every Saturday we have our design class. Design class usually starts by 8am and ends by 5pm. Yes it's a whole day of non-stop brainstorming and production of plans to the day problem that will be given. My roomie and I woke up extra early today since we were determined to finally arrive on time. It was the perfect setting, arrived in school by 7:30 and there were only two drafting boards setted up in the drafting rooms. Hanged out in the discussion room and was wondering why it was just my roomie and I in the classroom . Our other classmates arrived around 8:30 and told us that our class will be starting late. WE DIDN'T GET THE MEMO!!! Oh well, the early birds we were!

Since we were way early I even had time to take silly  shots out of boredom. 

Take a look at what's inside my rendering tool box! A few markers that I just recently learned how to use and coloring pencils.. my Prang watercolor (my fave medium) is behind my watercolor pencils! :(

Was so tired today since a whole day of sketching and squeezing my brain out for color combinations , spatial planning and lighting fixtures --it's no easy task. When I got home I was tired as heck but when I checked my messages saw this cute painting and it turned my frown upside down!! A good friend , Patricia Zosa, painted a me! Yey! I swear , I love it so much! It's even my new header if you guys noticed. Little things like these cheer me up! They're always special in my eyes.

Talked about Neoclassic paintings earlier in History class and how timely was it that I wore my watercolor cardigan today?! Made me feel more into the discussion cause of my attire! haha  As our teacher was discussing about Romanticism paintings this photo appeared in the powerpoint presentation. And I was like "Hala! COLDPLAY!" haha

And I was right, our teacher pointed out tthat this was used in the recent cover of Coldplay's Viva La Vida Album. I don't know if Coldplay was talking about the Napoleonic era thus the result of their Late Neoclassic Cover or maybe they just spoke in code and used Napoleon as a diversion to their usual symbolic religious songs but I think it was pretty cool to make everyone think for once if they're talking about the French Revolution or Christianity. Either way.. Fast Facts lang.. New things everyday! :)
