Basic Twists

Black and white looks are my favorite. There's so much potential  whenever I decide to don this combination.  It oozes with sophistication without being all that. Subtle simplicity is always something I look out for when picking out my clothes.

That goes for home decor too! A black and white combination in bold prints are definitely eye catchers in their own right. Throw pillows and these cute vases are a good example as well don't you think?

Instead of going for an achromatic look I thought it would be fun to add hints of color through jewelry. Thanks to Born Pretty Store (IG: @bornprettystore) for sending this statement necklace, I was able to do just that.

For interiors there are a gazillion ways to add color. Besides furniture an effective way is to use them in window treatments. It hits two birds in one stone. Aesthetics and function rolled into one. Who says you can't have both right?



Finally texture. The right balance between materials are key in completing a look or interior. Next to color, texture allows a room or outfit to come alive. Like my faux snakeskin pumps from TB Dress (IG: @tbdress) and the shaggy carpet.  They all seem to add contrast to the look or space
