Sister's Top | WAGW skirt | Vintage belt and watch
Okay, so I've been feeling terrible lately. Been drowning myself with cheetos, coke, coffee, notes and some more agony..so today I shall take away the stressful and depressing me and show you guys a happier shopping fulfilled Gillian! haha
I've been trying not to buy any clothes since I am in serious need of a new cabinet.. my clothes won't fit anymore.. Not kidding! So instead I wanted to share to you guys some of my recent beauty buys that I got for myself.
1.) Revlon Color Stay Aqua Mineral Makeup
My friends know that I've been such a Revlon fan. Last year the Photoready finishing powder was my best friend. Practically forced everyone in the group to get one. Recently I discovered this new finishing pwoder which, in my opinion, is a lot better. One application is all you need and it has good enough coverage and stays on the whole day plus I love that it feels cold and super light after applicatoin.
2.) Revlon Eyebrow Liner
I just got this 2 days ago just because it's retractable. It's surprisingly easy to use and I love the highlighter that goes along with it! I've always sucked at using powdered cosmetics for the eyebrows so this one totally works for me!
3.) Revlon Photoready Concealer
I am always on the search for the right concealer for me.. I hate my dark circles so concealer is pretty important in my life. I just got this the same day I got the Revlon Eyebrow Liner and so far it's been doing pretty well.. I think.. haha It just have normal coverage good for everyday use and I like it cause it's compact easy to carry around during my travels.
4.) Jasmine Water BB CREAM
If you guys have been following me on twitter I've been yapping about BB cream since Manila dried up my skin. I just needed a base for my skin to prevent it from peeling. Everyone told me to either try Face shop or Etude. Sadly when I got to Face Shop they ran out of the brand I wanted and Etude ended up too heavy for my face so I found this instead. It's from Watsons and it isn't that bad.. It's very light in coverage which I like since I don't like putting to much gunk on my face for everyday use so this was good enough for me.. I just got this today and so far it works okay and smells really good! haha :)
So that's it.. I do have some pieces of clothes I've always wanted to share but I'll reserve those for a future post. :)
Family night tonight! De-stressing! :)

Mobile School Foundation
There’s gonna be a fashion show on October 6 featuring Cebuano personalities and a few known designers to help raise money for the Mobile School Foundation.
The Mobile School Foundation is a government funded organization under the Cebu City Task Force for Street Children and was established in the year 1994 seeking to grant less privileged and abandoned children a chance to have an education. Since then, the foundation has benefited 5,904 daycare children and has sent 500 students to formal education.
These children are the ones we see on the streets and 5x in a week, this foundation goes to 5 different barangay’s to pick children up who want to learn. They’re transported via Kaoshung Bus (just 2) and one (1) Japanese donated bus that serves as their “library”. They entertain about 100-150 children a day which ousts the 2-4 teachers they only have.
I’m sure none of us are strangers to the many street kids around Cebu and if you had that deep helpless feeling in your heart to want to do something about it, this is a little way of doing so.

Scallop Cut
Scalloped Top -Muffin Clothing | White shorts - Sister's | Jewelry - Aldo | Belt- SM
My parent's are in town and I'm loving it! Nothing better than to spend some bonding time with food over at Yakimix! Went a bit crazy over the unlimited supply of salmon!
Although I was pretty upset that I wasn't able to attend the SM accessories fashion show over at Cebu last night since all of my friends know that I am such a SM lover when it comes to shopping but I was glad to have spent it instead with my cousins and relatives last night. It was a combined celebration of everyone who was and will be celebrating their birthdays! Fun night! Again no pictures since last night was so intense when we got down to playing with a bowl and some dices. I swear.. My family here gives the moon dice festival a new name! I love it! :)

Scripts
Top from Zara Kids.
Studied out the whole day yesterday facing magazines..
I kid!
No we did not study magazines! haha
This was what I was actually facing the whole time!
Been studying two subjects all at once just to save time.. Stress!
While doing some serious note taking.. I came across this pattern under our Rug Pattern hand outs and realized that it's the same pattern as my shirt!
Here's a closer view of the shirt pattern!
Similar right?
Similar right?
Since it was gloomy yestereday I decided to wear this colorful piece I got over at Zara Kids! I adore the ethnic American-Indian print that this shirt clearly portrays. The reasons why I started this blog is mainly to portray the similarities of Fashion, the Arts and Interior Design. I love how in Fashion a carpet pattern clearly becomes a statement piece and shows off a unique print on strong colors and geometric lines. It's not just some random lines that you just happen to throw in to create this effect it actually takes inspiration from carpet patterns long ago. A harmony of these elements showcase a balance of symmetry and design by not overpowering one another.
Similar to Mara Hoffman's Spring 2012 collection from the recent New York Fashion Week runway!
Here are some of my faves! <3
Okay! Maybe not all the pieces are geometric. And maybe they're not really under American Indian patterns but it i similar. Just wanted to work that in in today's post! :)
So here are some photos I got all over the net on the same patterns used in carpets, pillows and interior spaces
Vibrant colors on pillows! I am in love with the electric pops of color! Although some patterns in these pictures have a mixture of moroccan prints too!
Clearly these are a fun and fashionable patterns ready to spruce up interior spaces and fashion pieces at the same time! :)
Now back to studying!
Mock boards tomorrow.. wish me luck! :)

{ Pumped Up Kicks }
Mom's shirt turned into a dress |DAS02 shoes from DAS| Hongkong Bag | SM eye wear
Yes.. I braved the streets with this pair from DAS just to meet up with my bestfriend Kryz over at Shang Mall yesterday! Don't worry I was safe and sound . No one seemed to care na super effort lang ang attire just to get a cab. haha Special thanks to my roomie, Kristine, for being so game on taking my photos. Even if we did look stupid posing around the village .
Meeting up with Kryz totally helped me relax and just recharge. No pictures though.. whenever we're together I usually forget I have a camera around . I feel like I get too caught up with all the girl time and always end up forgetting on documenting things. Also it was so nice to get messages from my other two best girlfriends who were coincidentally having some bonding time in Cebu too! Just what I needed, I feel the support! I felt the support so much that when I got home that night I slept at 4 am because I was so inspired to study and did the same thing the whole day today!
Thank you Friends! :)

Something Old..
An old photo taken by the great Lea Ann for our shoot for Detail bydetails's 8th Batch.
I'm starting to miss all the photo shoots I used to do in Cebu. For those of you who are new, I used to do some styling in Cebu and occasional modeling here and there but what I really enjoy the most is conceptualizing. I love bringing new ideas to the table! I like being O.C. about everything even down to pre-styling accessories the night before only to find out the next day I end up winging it in styling.
Something New..
During my one week stay in Cebu my Dad and I visited the PhilConstruct Visayas at Waterfront. I love going to these things cause I get to know a lot on new materials and even new finishes for my soon to be line of work.. I hope! When I was about to enter I stumbled upon this smart display of furniture pieces by CFIF
I was really wondering what the vase was doing laying down on the floor! Only when I took the picture did I find out that they displayed their furniture and accent pieces laying down so that when you take pictures it's as if you're looking at the space from the top view! Cool!
Here's another one! Whoever thought of this is a Genius!
Had so much fun with this exhibit!
Of course the PIID Cebu Chapter people did not disappoint.
I came too early to the show so most of the pieces weren't prepared and I was only able to take photos of the finished ones!
This was a mock up display of a very girly powder room.
Wouldn't mind having all that at my place!
Then here's the quirky and eclectic living area!
I am in love with those color blocked lamps! <3
A close-up on the detail!
Comfy pillows in such a chic color combo!
These wall panels are worth lusting over! I was so tempted to have an outfit shot there but then again was too shy to even pose with the number of people around! teeehee
Clearly I miss Cebu, once again.. haha nothing new there!
Had a horrible day so I wanted to blog about home to make me feel better! :)
Hope everyone has a good night!
