Architecturally Sleeping

Photo Taken by Hannah Bacalla
dress by Mique Yapching

INTERIOR CONNECTION

I love this dress! I had this made by my good designer friend, Mique Yapching, for Preveiw's 15th Anniversary party which was held here in Cebu months back. I love the architecture touch that's happening with it. Nothing too drastic but at the same time has a very classic impact through the details of the dress. It sorta reminded me of a favorite interior decorating wall paneling trick which is Wainscoting.

Wainscoting actually is an interior wall paneling technique done just below the dado rail/chair rail which usually presents an illusion of a sort of  "fenced" interior wall. It adds such an architectural touch to a simple surface elevating it more into something polished yet dramatic. Much like the dress with the ribbed draping that Mique designed for me. Coincidentally my shoes sort of  has the same pattern as the wainscot in the interior picture! :)

EVERYTHING ELSE IN BETWEEN

On to some gut wrenching news..
I had a hard time sleeping last night. For the first time ever I had nothing to do. I hate doing nothing, I honestly miss the stress and all the pump I get when I was working on my thesis. Right now, I'm just awaiting for the results. At least I've got something else to worry about. And just to add on to the wait I found out that the announcement of thesis results just got moved to Wednesday, so it's an additional day of agony for me!

Please Lord, let me sleep tonight!

Hope you guys get better sleep than I'll ever have!

EVERYTHING ELSE IN BETWEEN

An old picture from an old friend!
Missing my long bangs! :(

BEFORE:
AFTER:

On to some stressful news! It's our thesis deadline on Monday and I've been going crazy putting on pressure on  myself! Compared to my other classmates, I've always been a light painter.. Nothing too textured on my plates.. they're just usually very light and soft. I don't know it it's the girly side of me or I'm just an amateur when it comes to watercolor work! I hate painting! It takes too long to dry, I'm impatient when t comes to  these, very bull headed! So you see, that's why I prefer light renders since they easily absorb the colors plus I can pile on more colors  to make it dark with a bit of shadow. This is one of the areas of my proposed home renovation. I hope It doesn't look weird. I usually am more of a concept girl rather than sketching.

Onwards to cheerful news! Got a call from my sister a while ago about finally finding the sequined beanie I've been looking for! I love it to death! I've been searching far and wide for one of these babies.. (even  messaged  a lot of people on where they got theirs) and finally I've got my very own piece! It's very Rachel Zoe if you ask me and I am so in love with it. I know it's not very appropriate with the sunny weather we've been getting these past few days but if you do see me wear this in public I am sorry for wearing something so annoyingly inappropriate but I can't helpt it! I have to wear something I like! haha

Now back to rendering my last two perspectives!
Adios Amigos!

EVERYTHING ELSE IN BETWEEN

Today was exceptionally cold. Cebu weather is whacked! I can't believe my fingers and toes are freezing (having a hard time typing right now). Despite the weird clouds coming forth Cebu, I love that it gives me an excuse to layer after layer everything I have in my closet! I guess there is always an upside in every situation.

I went to school today for our midterm test in my only class besides my thesis. I was there 8:30 sharp! I was not shocked that there were only three of us at that time, the weather called for  drowsy people and a very traffic day here at the southside! While I was turning on my computer, my teacher approached me and asked about my online store! I was shocked to find out that my teacher knew about my life outside school. I gamely answered and explained all his questions about it. He mentioned something about not being stagnant, I guess he was referring about bumming around over the 1 semester hiatus I took from school. Haha I guess teachers snoop around more than you think.
There are a lot of teachers from our department who dresses fashionably in their own style. I should do a "STALK THE STAFF" section for CAFA! haha *kidding* This professor of mine was way old school, but I loved how he was always in high waisted pants, even when I was in my freshman year of college, a trend by the way that is here to stay! It got me thinking on trying out high waist pants too! I guess fashion is a cycle!

Till then guys!
Hope your toes and fingers are warm!
:)
